About the Author
Stephen Joseph Fernbach, now using the pen name Joseph Quincy Knight (JQ Knight) wrote his first song lyric at age eleven. He never mastered an instrument but always had a way with words.
JQ Knight grew up in New Jersey. He attended Bayonne High School. He was an honor student and won the Science Award. He studied biology at Rutgers University. He earned his Master’s degree at Hunter College in Public Health and Industrial Hygiene.
He did have a dry spell in the 1980's when he had trouble holding down a job and finding the right career due to a bout with mental health issues. Things turned around for Mr. Knight when he was employed by the federal government whom he worked for most of his career.
He also wrote song lyrics and poetry in his spare time as well as watching film classics and recording demos of original work. Several chap books of his poetry are available for sale on this website. Soundcloud samples of his recent collaboration with Rich Liptzin whom he met during the Pandemic are available for your listening pleasure free.
Mr. Knight also loves to collect and read books and CD music of many genres. Selections from his personal library are available for sale too.
Mr. Knight has always walked around with a song in his heart no matter what situation he was in. He has always been passionate for the writing career. Even though he never achieved wealth nor fame, he did make many lasting friendships which has made the effort well worth it.

He did have a dry spell in the eighties when he had trouble holding down a job and finding the right career. This period ended when he got involved with the US FDA. First he served as an investigator inspecting imported products and packages and later on he got involved as an administrator.
